A Tiny Bit More Energy

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

If yesterday was a better day, today we saw the tiniest iota of progress with David. Tiny to be sure. When he came up this morning, he said, not too loudly, that he felt he had a very small increase in energy. That makes today even better than yesterday.

Even if it is only for today, we will take it. He is on the L-arginine and waiting for pycnogenol  to arrive. This is a pine bark extract and he has it on good authority that this along with the L-arginine is helpful for Exercise Intolerance.

This morning Mike and I went to the beach. It was a beautiful day and the tide was super low. It’s full moon tomorrow night and when the tide is low, it’s very very low and when it’s high at this time of the month, it’s very very high. I swam to the barrel and back and towards the lighthouse and back. Then out to the barrel again and back to the beach. It was 30 minutes and not quite 2km today.

It looks like tomorrow will also be a good swimming day. We need to take advantage of it because Friday looks like there will be rain.

I only worked for about 4 hours today. That’s a treat.

Another better day.

Psalm 91:2
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Gran xx 🙂

There’s Always a Better Day

Tuesday

Dear Elsie

There’s always a better day than yesterday and today was better. Last night, David came up and he was kaput after the ‘exercise’ in the afternoon but after dinner and an episode of Seinfeld (now on Netflix), he was feeling a little stronger. Late into the night he did more research on how he was feeling and found a couple more options of supplements that may  help him. One sufferer said the supplement helped. He watched another YouTube video of a doctor suggesting some options related to blood supply to his legs.  Another recommendation was this. So today I got this. The other one he has ordered online.

Everyone needs hope. We hope this will improve the circulation to his legs and he will be able to walk 250m without needing a number of hours to recover. This is the kind of thing we are reading online – here.

And then you get this line…

“The lack of scientific researches focusing on the musculoskeletal system in mild to moderate COVID-19 individuals is a problem that needs attention. ”

Yup! If it’s rare in the US, you can imagine how little information there is in SA. At least we are trying to edge forward.

This morning Mike and I went to the beach. I forgot to take my goggles and cap which I was initially irritated over but it turned out to be a very pleasant breaststroke out to the barrel and back twice. The sea was cold and calm and I loved it. Who knows, maybe as winter comes, I’ll not wear my cap and goggles, choosing rather to keep my head above the water. We’ll see. I soon will need my spring suit.

I worked 7 hours and now it’s time for dinner, just about. It’s been a beautifully sunny day with little wind. Sparkling sea and a massive canopy of blue sky. Across the bay, the smoke from a controlled fire is obscuring some of the mountains but it isn’t impacting us. It was a good washing day.  Sunrise was spectacular…

And so it is true. If you have a bad day, just hang in there. A better one is round the corner.

Psalm 91:1
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Dwell and rest.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Gran xx 🙂

A Bit of a Bleak Day

Monday

Dear Elsie

You will have days that are a bit bleak. Today was one of those for us. Stuart left for China. David did not. It was always going to be a bleak day. I thought Stuart was leaving tomorrow and only found out this morning that today was the day. I was hoping to get out early for a swim, but just as I was planning that, it began to rain. I did some work and then went for a walk. Autumn flowers.

As I walked, I wondered if David would like to go for a drive with me. I arrived home and as I walked up the stairs, he was coming out. He said he was going for a drive and I told him I was going to ask him if he wanted to go for one. His legs are his biggest issue. Imagine struggling to completely depress the clutch, so he was happy for me to drive. We went up Red Hill and stopped at the lookout.

There are the stairs going up to Just Nuisance’s grave…Julian and I climbed them a while ago. I’m so glad we did.

Then it was onto Scarborough and round to Kommetjie. David wanted to try to walk 250m.

He did it but it was exhausting. He had to sit down half way and when we got home he was finished. He had to stop several times going up the stairs. It’s that hard. This is adversity. It’s not easy but we encourage ourselves it will pass. He will ride his bike again. He will do some of the runs he’s done before. He will get better. It’s just going to take time and how long does not bear thinking about.

Yes, a bleak day today, but it is passing by quickly & tomorrow will be another day. Something good will come out of this.

Psalm 90:17
May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

A Peaceful Day

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today we had a peaceful day. I think you did too as your Mom sent me photos of you walking with your friend, Aria and of you not only doing worksheets, but making your own as well! We are so looking forward to seeing you for Easter!

We went to church this morning and heard a meaningful and very well prepared sermon – one which will be easily remembered. Here’s the link to the service. You can fast forward to the sermon.

https://www.youtube.com/live/8wjtyavucsQ?feature=share

We got home and had breakfast. Yay! That paw-paw is appearing back on our shelves.

I sat in my rocking chair and admired the view.

David did his 4 hours of teaching. He has one more hour tonight – giving a guitar lesson. He’s being patient with his recovery, expecting, from what he’s read, that it’s going to take months to slowly recover and get back the proper use of his legs. It’s hard to imagine what he is going through internally and physically. Not an easy journey because he & his long time school friend Stuart were both waiting to go to China. They have waited so long. Stu leaves this week. David will have to wait some more. We firmly believe God has a plan, but we can’t see it – not yet anyway.

And so the day has been a gentle one and I’m going to enjoy what’s left of it.

Psalm 90:14
Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

I Watched a Plane

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I spent the morning out and about and the early afternoon I used Flight Radar to watch a plane creep over the ocean towards the island Julian and I will be visiting in two weeks time. God willing we will be on the plane and following the route I watched today. First! Where is Saint Helena Island compared to Africa and South America? Here:

It’s really the middle of nowhere. When they show it on a map, they usually group it together with other remote islands. St Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha. Car Hill is the upper pin and that’s Ascension Island which is closest to St Helena – a mere 1295km away.

Tristan da Cunha is south by quite some distance, so why they lump them all in one spot in the South Atlantic, I don’t know.

Anyway, to get to Saint Helena you need to fly to Johannesburg. From there you get on an Airlink flight and fly to Saint Helena but there is a technical stop to refuel at Walvis Bay. Then off you go…it takes 3 hours to fly from Walvis to Saint Helena.

I followed the plane today…

Gearing up to land…

And it’s landed.

This upcoming journey on 15th April has been consuming my thoughts and dreams. The book I’ve been reading was written before the airport was built. That’s when the ship docked at Jamestown.  It was only when I woke in the middle of last night that I remembered we are flying in, so won’t be arriving in Jamestown. I then wondered where the airport is in relation to Jamestown. I googled it to find out. It was 2am, mind you. At this early morning hour I discovered, we will be staying about 16km from the airport which doesn’t sound bad, except Mike is not with us. I fell asleep again around 3am and dreamt that Mike had flown in with me and disembarked.  For some reason, in my dream, Julian was on another plane coming behind the one I was on. Mike boarded that one and headed back to South Africa.  When I woke up just after 6am I was very cross with my husband for not wanting to join us. We will get lost. Mike has assured me he will download as many maps of Saint Helena as possible. Apparently it is difficult to get lost on the island, but I disagree. Take a look at this for example…

Based on these obscure directions, I don’t know if we will get to Pear Tree Farm! Without Mike we may get very lost, so I have spent some time this afternoon printing hard copies of directions and have put them in a flip file. I think we will also be able to pick up maps in Jamestown. We want to drive to some of the forts, hike some of the mountains and visit the museums and graveyards. Plantation House (which I thought was in Jamestown) is on the way to Richard’s Travel Lodge which is close to the Heart Shaped Waterfall. We could combine those three things on Tuesday which is the only day Plantation House is open, I believe. It’s also home to Jonathan, the world’s oldest tortoise. Let’s hope he’s still alive.

So Mike stays behind because he doesn’t want to come. He just doesn’t. He can’t manufacture a desire to visit one of the remotest places on the planet, but he is fine with me and Julian going. We arrive to no internet. None at the airport. None at the Airbnb. We hope we can get SIM cards in Jamestown. But the prognosis is not good for internet for the week.

We’ll see what happens, but I’ve made good progress today and have a flip file ready for the trip.

Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

We Got Our Engineer’s Certificate

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I got lovely photo of you from your Mom. You were on the swing at school and you were loving it! And we are all so excited to see you next weekend!

Early this morning, I got a call from our engineer. He sent our Engineer’s certificate! It took a bit of time but it’s a big step forward in getting all our new house paperwork in order.

Meanwhile, Courage and Brian have done an amazing job building the gabion baskets next to the house.

And Mike was not idle. He worked on the electrics in the cottage and he made bread.

Today, I wound down the week and the month with about a 7 hour day. It’s been a super busy month, one that was not without stress, but as we say goodbye to March 2023, we look forward to April which will bring with it shorter days both work-wise and as we find the cooler days arriving.

We did more research on what may help David today and discovered Taurine. Maybe some of the struggle is related to nerve endings and Taurine may work to alleviate that. It’s found in energy drinks, which David doesn’t want because they are loaded with caffeine, but we did find this.

So I bought 10 & he can have one a day to see if it makes a difference. Physically, this is rock bottom for him. Emotionally, mentally and spiritually it’s not, but physically, he’s never been so unable to do anything. He read someone else’s account on the Reddit subgroup ‘Long Haul Covid’. There were many similar symptoms, only much worse. David appreciates while he’s got debilitating fatigue, he is not bedridden and he can get up and down the stairs.

Psalm 90:4
A thousand years in Your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

Doing The Responsible Thing

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day Granpa did the responsible thing! It’s not always easy doing things you really don’t want to do, but the medical fraternity suggest check-ups for some nasty medical issues. Early detection results in early diagnosis and treatment. If you get something early, a full recovery is common. This happened with Mike many years ago when he noticed blood in his urine and had it seen to immediately. I wrote about that here. One of the other check-ups doctors recommend as we get older is a colonoscopy. I had one about 8 years ago. Julian had one last year and today Mike went through the ordeal for the sake of doing the responsible thing. In fact, as I write, he is having it done and I’m sitting in the waiting room. I can hear a heart monitor and I am presuming the beep, beep, beep is his. We are not expecting anything to be wrong and I have a feeling that if there is no issue, he won’t ever want to go for another. At least we get the results immediately.

So, all is well! Praise the Lord. Now we need to see the doc and we can leave. We can now heave a sigh of relief and look forward to the weekend.

This morning was a busy one. Both Julian and his friends, the guests in the cottage packed up and left. Ruth came to change the linen in the Seaview apartment, clean the Little Lookout and clean the cottage. The Americans in the cottage left a lot of food and so Ruth and Courage got to take home biscuits, custard, unopened peanut butter, eggs, butter, sugar and a bunch of other things. Courage and Brian dined on left over pizza for lunch. I selected unopened rusks, strawberry jam, some milk and the balance of Amarula. I don’t like leaving alcohol for anyone. It goes to live in our apartment and may get consumed over the next few years!

My job was to wash the linen. By the time we left for the doctor this afternoon the linen was all done and drying. I managed about 4 hours of work as well.

Before I end, it was bitter sweet for me to hear this morning that Aunty Ivy passed away last night. Avril and Heather were at her bedside. She died at home surrounded by those she loved. It was a peaceful end to a full life where she kept busy right to the last weeks of her life. We will miss her as the baker of her delicious biscuits which each guest received when they came. I remember one guest in particular. Pregnant Dakota absolutely loved them and when we changed her linen each week, she loved the extra Aunty Ivy biscuits that were delivered. I still have some frozen.

When I write, “The best is yet to come –  we are only passing through”, it’s at these moments, the truth of those words ring loudest.

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Gran, xx 🙂

16-8

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day we went down to the beach for a swim. The water had cleared of all the debris of two days ago and it was lovely and clear. It was still chilly – but not unbearable – about 15C. I had a good 23 minutes in the water, showered, changed and we walked home for breakfast.

I did not have early morning coffee and so my first cappuccino was  just after 9am. No headache this morning and my second day of not eating for 16 hours & only eating during an 8 hour window – 16-8 – it’s called. I felt fine.  I don’t know how long I will do this for. It’s quite a challenging eating cycle as it’s not always convenient eating dinner by 5pm so I can have breakfast at 9am. For most people eating dinner at 6.30pm or 7pm is the civilised thing to do, but that would push breakfast to 11am which is not impossible but I would be pretty starving by then. At least when both David and I are doing this we can compare notes. That first cappuccino is pretty darn good!

Courage and Brian have been building the gabion baskets below our bedroom to the right of the building. Remember Mike prepared the ground…this was 16th January…

This was this morning as they began the next level…

And this is by the end of the day…it’s hard work making gabion baskets… This week, Julian’s friends,  Holly and Mike and their family have been visiting. Tonight is there last night, so they came up for coffee. They have loved

They have absolutely loved Cape Town.

It’s been a good day. I only worked 5 hours. I got to spend some time with David. Our conversation today touched on how (in the future when he is better and this is all over) he wants to look back on this time. He needs to pace himself, but he also doesn’t want to waste this opportunity. You can’t control some of the things that happen to you but you can control your response to them. Control what you can.

Psalm 90:1
Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Coffee at 9

Tuesday

Dear Elsie

Today I got to see you learning to read and you are doing so well! Granny is so proud!

Today I waited until 9am for my first coffee! It wasn’t easy but it is intermittent fasting David is trying to improve his metabolism and metabolic health. We ate early yesterday evening (5pm) and then only drank water and black tea until 16 hours later (9am). I decided to join him. Mike was up and out super early to take his car to be serviced. He had coffee at 6am and was on his way by 6:30am. I went through my usual routine, but by 8am, it felt a very long time til 9am, so I walked to Fish Hoek for milk and muesli. Home by 9am and the wonderful first sip of coffee. By 11:30am, I was buzzing and felt fabulous. Dinner at 5pm this evening and now we’ll wait until 9am to eat again. I hope this works for David. He has plateaued in feeling good in himself but walking is not something he finds easy to do or can do for longer than about 100m. And so we wait, patiently. He is persevering in reading, learning some Chinese, doing half the work he usually does, playing chess, watching YouTube & visiting us. We are enjoying his company. I am aware time will pass. This will pass. He will get better and move on with his life and as the years pass, his life may take him in a different direction making visits less frequent. Yes, I am enjoying his company now for sure!

For the rest, I only worked about half a day today. I heard back from the Saint Helena Island internet company and it seems straightforward to pick up a SIM card when we arrive. I should be able to squeeze out my blog if I compress photos and do the whole thing off-line before uploading it onto my Linux laptop. Mike not wanting to visit Saint Helena leaves Julian and I with big challenges. We will surely get lost and struggle with connectivity during the week. Mike assures me he will send use off with all we need to be able to charge devices and hopefully stay in touch.

I visited Riana this afternoon and this evening, I took the balance of Julian’s stitches out. He had a basal cell lesion on his cheek taken out. It has healed well and the stitches needed to be taken out. I did not want to do that. They are tiny and my eyesight is not what it used to be. Mike however, found a magnified head lens and that made the world of difference. I took most of them out last night and the last few today.

And so that’s been the day.

Now, there’s cricket!

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

Waves in a Hurry

Monday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day we managed to get to the beach. The sun rose and as it did, the wind dropped. It was difficult not to want to go to the beach. The light breeze forecast cold water and we were not wrong, but, we were told, warmer than last week. Last week it was 10, they said.  We were down an hour or so after high tide. While the flag hung limp, the sea did not. The waves were in a hurry to go out. I jumped and dived over bullish waves. After 3 minutes of judging their strength, I got beyond the breakers and there I stayed, bobbing up and down in murky water, thinking how much it was not a swimming day. I kept my eye on a house on the cat walk, a marker as to how far out I was. A strong undercurrent bearing testimony to the rush the tide was in to make its 12.47pm deadline pulled me out. I swam closer to the shore, feeling I was swimming on the spot but soon was in line with my marker. Playing games, the tide swept me toward the beach, and then made me dive beneath its rolling breaker. I swam back out again -dark debris-filled water – it was not a swimmer’s day. I looked for Mike and finally saw him finishing his run and coming in for a dip. I’d had enough. Going with the flow, I headed back to land, riding the dashing waves and quickly finding myself being able to feel the ocean floor.  I can’t deny it was refreshing and we walked home with a spring in our step and enjoyed the glow that comes with a healthy dose of endorphins.   The sea always looks so innocuous in a photo.

So home it was for breakfast and 7 hours of work. David visited. He is pretty much the same – no change in his condition – struggling to walk – very tired, but being patient and trying to manage his energy levels and how he uses his time. He’s also trying intermittent fasting – no food for 16 hours – eating during 8 hours of the day. Today we got it right that he ate dinner by 5pm and tomorrow will have breakfast at 9am. It’s not an easy journey to be sure. One day he will be better.

Rocking chair sunset…

Psalm 85:4
Restore us again, God our Savior..

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip, all of us, always and forever,

Gran xx 🙂

Saint Helena Reading

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day, I did more reading of my book on Saint Helena. It’s getting closer. Three weeks from today, God willing we will be on Saint Helena Island. The book is a rich catalogue of island life, from small daily events to massive Island happenings. On looking online for more details of the author, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack. Very little information to be had, except I found her husband on Facebook and he had this as his profile photo. Surely, this must be their home on Saint Helena Island. Villa Le Breton.

The book relates the many conversations taking place on that veranda. It’s going to be interesting to see if we can find the house.

Today has actually been really busy. By 8am, I was down making beds in the cottage. Ruth arrived and got cleaning. By 10am, we were done and by 11am, the 5 guests arrived. At just after 12noon, the daughter of guests coming to the Seaview apartment tonight arrived to put in some groceries. Once I’d let her in, I went shopping and then came home and cooked lupper.

It has been an afternoon of watching SA play an epic game of T20 cricket against the West Indies. After the WI batted first and posted a formidable total of 258, SA was said to only have a 19% chance of winning. That soon changed as Quinton de Kock was steaming! He scored 100 off 42 balls. It became the highest successful run chase in T20 ever.

Really exciting stuff. It’s the best of 3. The decider is on Tuesday evening.

A good day.

Psalm 84:5
Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.

Pilgrimage that will end in eternity. The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Gran xx 🙂

Misty Saturday

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day we went to Chalk & Cheese for breakfast. I had Avo on Toast but also followed it up with this….they do a very nice scone, although I did share it with Mike.

(Photo from them)

Afterwards we browsed through the second hand shops, ending in the one on Recreation Rd where I picked up a few small Easter gifts for you, Elsie!

You love containers so will like the one with wax crayons long after the crayons are used up. We are looking forward to seeing you for Easter. We had a chat with you today as well and I heard you count up to 30 – you did so well. No one minds when you skip 13! You’ll soon find that one’s home.

I did some reading and so all in all it’s been a quiet day with, as the forecast warned, intermittent rain.

Tomorrow is going to be somewhat busier as we have two sets of guests arriving.

The family are watching cricket between the West Indies and South Africa. It’s a T20 but due to rain, it’s been cut short to 11 overs. South Africa batted first and at this point, the WI look like they will win. We will see.

Psalm 84:1
How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

A Day Off

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today I took the day off from work and it was wonderful. I don’t need a lot of time off to catch my breath and regain some strength.  I spent some time in my rocking chair reading, although it was also easy to stare vacantly. This view, I decided, never gets old. One of the reasons is because it is always changing and there is always something to see.

My main role was to make sure I was there to meet a delivery vehicle when they arrived with a truck-load of wood. 180 pieces of construction wood for all manner of building work that Mike has in mind for entrances and porches. It has been stored temporarily in the garage. Next week it will be carried up the stairs to the storeroom and stored there until it has dried out & Mike starts construction.

We were in for a very busy Sunday, but something has arisen that is both unexpected and extremely convenient. The cottage has had the neighbours in for a month. They rent the house next door and when the owner comes out from Germany, they move into our cottage. The German owner was due to leave Sunday afternoon and we have the next guests arrive Sunday morning so there was an overlap. As neither the neighbours leaving nor the guests arriving are through Airbnb, there was less stress than usual, but just inconvenience. I have just learned that the German owners’ flight has been delayed because of some Airport strike, so instead of leaving after Sunday, he’s bought it forward and apparently is leaving tonight! Win! Sunday will now be far less stressful. We also have Airbnb guests arriving in the Seaview Apartment late Sunday but their family is popping by on Sunday at lunchtime to pick up the keys and put in some groceries.

I meant to mention Julian arrived yesterday after a prolonged absence during which he celebrated the happy arrival of his first grandchild. It’s good to have him back.

A nice restful day and more to come tomorrow.

Psalm 80:7
Restore us, God Almighty; make Your face shine on us, that we may be saved.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

Rain

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I did my last day’s work before having a bit of a long weekend. I think I will check my email tomorrow but I won’t be covering for anyone and will enjoy some relaxation. I am looking forward to that.

I’ve worked for almost 8 hours today and now the day is over, the rain is about to come.

By 7pm, it should be bucketing down. Flowx forecast…

Freedom Food have cooked for us, as they usually do…tomato bredie. Yum.

The rain has started to fall. I think I’m going to go and do some reading now.

Psalm 80:3
Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂

Days Are Finding a Rhythm

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day you cut yourself quite badly and ended up having it checked by the hospital. We are grateful it didn’t need stitches but it could be fixed with steri-strips and a bandage. I’m sure it will get better quickly.

For me,  I worked almost 10 hours. When that happens you know I get to do no exercise. The good news is I am taking Friday off to decompress and just rest.  The sunrise this morning was pretty spectacular.

Mike had an appointment at 7.30am in Kenilworth to have his car serviced, so he left really early to get to that. I started working at the time he left. He went via Muizenberg and took Prince George Drive only to find police had closed the road half way along. This resulted in a traffic jam of note so he postponed the service and came home.

Today I heard of someone else who was struggling with possible post-Covid fatigue. I sent them the supplements that seem to be making a difference with David. He takes 2 of the CoQ10 a day and 1 B-Complex. I’ve also got him on Zinc and Tumeric supplements which apparently reduce inflammation.

The other funny thing he has included in his recovery is a walking stick! As he says, ‘this is not a fashion statement!’ but it certainly helps to have something to lean on when he needs to walk somewhere. He said he was going to go to Olympia. I said “‘Of course you’ll go there, because you can say, ‘I limp here!'” As you can tell from this conversation, I can take the mickey out of him now because he is feeling better and not on death’s door. We’ve just got to get the message to his legs so they start working. Today he taught for 3 hours and coped well.  The Lord has a plan in all of this. Meantime, we are enjoying spending a lot of time with him and the days are finding a rhythm of us seeing David for breakfast and dinner. I sometimes stop by his place as well just to say hi and see how he’s doing.

The day ended with dinner and then another episode of Poirot.

And now it’s time for bed.

Psalm 79:9
Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your Name; deliver us and forgive our sins
for your Name’s sake.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran, xx 🙂
