A Peaceful Day

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today we had a peaceful day. I think you did too as your Mom sent me photos of you walking with your friend, Aria and of you not only doing worksheets, but making your own as well! We are so looking forward to seeing you for Easter!

We went to church this morning and heard a meaningful and very well prepared sermon – one which will be easily remembered. Here’s the link to the service. You can fast forward to the sermon.

We got home and had breakfast. Yay! That paw-paw is appearing back on our shelves.

I sat in my rocking chair and admired the view.

David did his 4 hours of teaching. He has one more hour tonight – giving a guitar lesson. He’s being patient with his recovery, expecting, from what he’s read, that it’s going to take months to slowly recover and get back the proper use of his legs. It’s hard to imagine what he is going through internally and physically. Not an easy journey because he & his long time school friend Stuart were both waiting to go to China. They have waited so long. Stu leaves this week. David will have to wait some more. We firmly believe God has a plan, but we can’t see it – not yet anyway.

And so the day has been a gentle one and I’m going to enjoy what’s left of it.

Psalm 90:14
Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
