When Cats Rule

When a cat rules, this is what they look like…butter won’t melt in her mouth…Queen Truffles…

I sent it to Julian who in return sent this photo of Timothy back… looks like he’s watching a scary movie! So cute! You just want to scratch that tummy!

I love cats. They have such unique personalities.

Truffles was very ticked off when we went away. On our return she insisted on being outside. Every time we bought her in, she ate and then meowed piteously pleading to go out again. When rain was about to fall two nights ago, we bought her in and closed the windows and forced her to stay inside. We have an old brush and Mike spent about 15 minutes grooming her. She loved every second and that got us back into her good books. For the last two nights she has curled up on our bed, which she was when the top photo was taken this morning.

In the evening if I’m working at  my computer, she comes and curls up on my lap between squashing herself up against my tummy and the desk. Periodically, she gets up, kneads a bit more and then settles down again.  During the day she has a favourite spot which is up against the wall in a cosy pile of leaves. Drives me nuts when the wind is blowing and it’s cold that she stays there, but that’s a cat for you!

Today is my friend Riana’s birthday. After Monday’s sushi, we both felt we didn’t have enough, so today we went back for seconds. I think it is fair to say that we won’t need sushi in the next week or two! It was delish! I love sushi. Mike doesn’t. Stacey doesn’t. David does. It’s not to everyone’s taste, but it certainly is to mine!

#332 of my 1000 thanks is for friendship with Riana. She is a great friend! 🙂

And today I read from Psalm 139. Such a wonderful psalm.

Verse 16

Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

He saw the start of our lives; He sees the end of our lives and He sees every second in between.

That’s comforting. He knows.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
