“What Have I Got To Worry About? What Have I Got To Worry About?”

1-12pm

That was my cry as I galloped up the stairs to my office after doing the show this morning. My response was, “Oh yes, that’s right! NOTHING!!!!”  How often is it that we have NOTHING, niks, nada, niente, niets, shici!  It was such a fabulous feeling! Granny is safe, sound AND happy! Mavis is not at home needing a ‘to do’ list. Just imagine – NO WORRIES! 🙂  🙂

God must be disappointed that it so seldom happens. He says, “Don’t worry!” loads of times in the Bible, yet we go round fraught with worry, weighed down with concerns and it’s robbing us of our joy as a result. At dinner the other day, it came up as a topic of conversation. How worried we all get…and regularly,  with the little things in life. Stuff that doesn’t really matter and certainly will be of very little significance in the future. The old Sunday School song ‘Why worry worry worry worry when you can pray!’ is actually good advice.

When I found I had nothing to worry about today, it was such a great feeling, that it is no wonder God wants us to have it. Joyful. Free. Light….come to mind. God wants us to enjoy an abundant life! So next time you feel burdened with a load of worries, PRAY! And feel them melt away!

Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Soooo, ditch the worry!

Today, I changed the cover photo of the CCFm Rise and Shine Facebook page. For those of you not on FB, here it is…that’s me and my newsreader Carlyn, looking really pretty in pink….

After the heat of yesterday, today is splendid. It’s a bit humid, but there is a bit of cloud and a cool breeze…

View from the balcony I’ve heard from Stacey today. She and Adrian are planning to head for Vietnam in a few weeks time. They have been in Cambodia for 5 months. They have a Vietnamese visa for 3 months. That will take them to the end of June, when they will only have one month left before they HAVE to return to South Africa. I’m so enjoying their travels. They are wise to do this now! I love you Stace and am SO proud of you!

Let me get the show prep done and washing on the line. I am going to Melanie’s BOOTCAMP at just after 5pm. I feel sore muscles coming!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
