We Witnessed a Fender Bender

Wednesday

Today was the day…

We witnesses a fender bender. There is this awkward little intersection just down the road. A car was at a yield sign (red arrow below) . In front of it was a car at a stop sign (green arrow)  waiting for a third car (blue arrow) that was coming up the road from the Sunny Cove Traffic lights. The (green arrow) car at the stop street was waiting to see if the upcoming (blue arrow)  car would go straight into Hillside Rd or veer left round the hairpin bend into Highway. The (red arrow) car at the yield sign could not see the (blue arrow) car coming up the road, as it was obscured by the (green arrow) car at the stop street. As the (green arrow) car at the stop street started going, the (red arrow) car at the yield also moved forward right into the path of the upcoming (blue arrow) car. Both were going slowly but there was a big bang, bumpers came off and doors were dented.

As Mike says, they need a circle there.  It’s an intersection we regularly travel through, so a good reminder to be extra vigilant.

This morning we swam. The water was about 18C. It was deliciously warm with a little swell. A good swimming day but not good enough to attempt to swim to Clovelly. I swam beyond the lighthouse but the water soon became murky so I turned back. I’m learning what murky means. Murky means I will later be standing in front of Mike while he carefully dabs dozens and dozens of little bites with cortisone cream. I can feel when I’ve been stung in the water. It’s not sore. Suddenly I become aware of a lot of itchiness.  Irritating, but so worth it! I just try to steer clear of the seaweed heavy sections. They soon go away.

I worked for 8 hours.

And we went to Sav Cafe for dinner.

The guests in the cottage who were supposed to ship on out tomorrow, are staying an extra night, but it means, come Friday,  I’ll have to shuffle them out by 10am so I can clean the place and get the new family in by 2pm.  Tomorrow, I’ll prepare all that is needed.

1st day of December. It’s going to be a month that rocks!

Beautiful evening.

2 Corinthians 12:9

My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.

Perfect verse for December 2021.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
