Unexpected Voice Note

This morning I was just wrapping up my fast walk on the treadmill when I noticed a Whatsapp on my phone. It was a 56 second voice note from David. I wondered what it was all about. Unexpected voice note at just after 8 in the morning sounds like trouble. As I started listening to it, my heart sank. He began by saying that something was going on that we’d better know about. “There was this guy”….you know how voice notes go on Whatsapp? They seem to fade in and out and that was happening. I listened more closely thinking his car had to be broken into. It certainly was sounding crime related.  Turns out it wasn’t! Yay!

I immediately forwarded the voice note to Julian who was at home in the cottage. I added “Go get contact details” at the end.

Julian heard the message and immediately went outside to investigate.

What had happened was as David was leaving for work, a man had appeared outside the house wanting to walk up the side of our cottage to the plot at the back. Apparently, he was a builder and he wanted to see the plot behind ours. Plans were possibly underway to build there. Julian had a brief conversation and his name and company number. That plot does not have road access. The only way to get to it, is from next to our cottage. If they are planning to build maybe we can work together on the access. If you think our access is bad, theirs is worse!

All very intriguing. Mike is standing on one of the plots behind ours. I think the builder was interested in the one further on the right.

Our plans lady should be contacting us early next week to go over the preliminary plan before she starts the technical plan. Sounds good to me.

So after gym, I had a shower and then Mike and I met Julian for breakfast.

#787 of my 1000 thanks is for a wonderful egg and bacon breakfast. I haven’t one for a while.

We came home and I spent a few hours working. This evening we walked to Dixies for their steak special. 300g steak for R99! That’s pretty good. It’s on until the end of the month.

And now I’m home and in bed.

Jeremiah 10:10

The Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King.

Amen!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
