Paying the Gardener

Yesterday after Mike fixed the garden gate at Echo, today he decided to try to beat the rain and mow our lawn. It was beginning to look like a jungle. We could call James and get him in, but Mike said, “no”, he would give it a cut.

So off he went and for the next two hours he did all the weed-eating. I must say he did a great job. I promised him payment & made good on it!

Our routine every alternate Wednesday is to take Thembisa to Echo. She comes to our house and we drop her at the cottage so she can give it a clean before Julian arrives.

#786 of my 1000 thanks is that Thembisa arrived at 7-45am! That was a surprise. I had told her she needed to be done by noon, so that David could give her a ride to the taxi rank.  It made a difference to my day as I was able to drop her and get home to work for an hour or two before heading for the gym. (She usually is due by 8-15 but runs late!)

This afternoon, with a cold wind blowing and the threat of rain, I decided to climb into bed and I worked the afternoon in comfort (while Mike was slaving away in the garden – I did make him tea!). Riana also came for tea.

The next part of the day is to do the airport run so let me put this to bed.

Psalm 33:11

The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I cycled 36km and listened to two messages from Northpoint! It took me  86 minutes and I burned 650 calories.
