The Walls Are Going Up

Wednesday

Today, we went to the site twice – at just after 8am and at 5-30pm. The difference was great! The walls are going up. There is scaffolding on site for the first time and we can begin to see how high the next level is going to be. Lower ground floor, aka the basement when we arrived this morning…

The same spot when we arrived this evening…

Just above this level, they have put in the shutter ply for the ground floor’s foundation.

I took a whole lot of photos of the lower ground floor from that level…

So it’s coming along and with it the bills! We paid a big one today – it included all the internal cladding and ceiling boards. As long as we stay on budget, we will be fine!

The other thing that happened today is that I met friends at the House on Pooh Corner in Noordhoek. It’s a family home and guesthouse – one that I have passed very often. The garden is amazing with a river running through – it’s like a corner of Kirstenbosch. We had a wonderful tea.

Work has been relatively quiet for me. The rest of the team are rushing about dealing with a China event. The Middle East goes into a long weekend after tomorrow, so Monday and Tuesday will be extra quiet.

Isaiah 14:24

The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.”

Amen!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
