The Submarine

Saturday

Dear Elsie

It was super fun speaking to you today. You showed me your doll named ‘She’! I love the names you call your ‘friends’.  Thank you for the video call and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

For today, I had a very chilled day. I was in my pajamas for most of the day, venturing out around 4pm to walk to the end of the road and back, something I haven’t done for a while. I encountered a couple who have just bought a house on Simon’s Town road and were taking a look at the area. Then another car came up asking for directions to the start of Elsie’s Peak.  That entailed an explanation. You would have thought in this technological age of Google maps and directions, it would not be difficult to find, but according to this car-load of hikers, said Google maps led them to the end of of our road. I gave them a suggestion route and off they went.

While scrolling through Facebook today, I found photos from talented Gavin Finlayson who has a mammoth lens and a great eye for photography. He took these photos of the submarine in the bay two days ago. What a treat in getting to see it so close up.

David taught this morning, for 4 hours, and managed well. He and Mike are now watching the cricket. SA is playing the West Indies and trying to beat a formidable target set of 335. We are doing okay at the moment, but we are only as good as the last run made.

Grateful for a restful day.

Psalm 75:1
We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
