Friday Friday Friday

Friday

Dear Elsie

Friday has such a nice ring to it. I know you enjoy Fridays as well! Today we didn’t go to the beach, but I did head off to the mall early to buy supplements for David. He’s hit a plateau of fatigue – the last couple of days have not seen any improvement but we did watch a video last night on the benefits of Co-Q10 and Vitamin B, so I’ve purchased those and he has taken the first ones. We can see what he feels like in a week’s time.

Yesterday evening we saw something that is a rare sighting. It was one of South Africa’s 3 submarines. The SAS Manthatisi is named after a female warrior chief and commissioned in 2005. Probably doing exercises in the bay it drifted around a bit, stayed overnight and disappeared back to Simon’s Town this morning.

Yesterday it was 2 years and 5 months since we moved into this home and we are often surprised by new things we’ve never seen. We have seen the sub before but it’s pretty rare.

Friday nights are also the evenings the surf-skiing club has a time trial. They have put the buoy out particularly far today, so it’s close to us. I think it’s because the sea is very flat due to the north wind that’s pushing in a cold front. It will give the athletes a good paddle!

And there they go…

The submarine is out again this evening. I’m so glad our new guests have got to see it.

And now it’s time to settle down to watch a Poirot.

Psalm 74:12
But God is my King from long ago; He brings salvation on the earth.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
