Tables are Turned

Saturday

Today was the day…

The tables were turned. Actually, the one table got moved yesterday and today another table arrived. We decided to take Granny’s dining room suite off Julian’s floor and put it into the cottage…

I think it looks perfect there. Yesterday Julian and I went to Simon’s Town and found a lovely Walnut table which is perfect for Julian’s use…

So the tables were turned. One went up. One went down.

The birds are still coming to the nectar bottles. I call this one Elsie’s bottle, because I was on a video call with her last week when I filled it. The male long-tailed sugar birds dominate, but this little white-eye sun bird was fearless and came for a spot of juice…

He warily hopped closer. It was quite fun to watch. They are very keen on Elsie’s bottle because it has more sugar in it. The other bottle, with less sugar, is still about a third full and is not being pounced upon with quite so much voracity. Sugar speaks!

Yesterday, after a lovely meal out, David took us through  Simon’s Town and we went on a special walk to a secluded beach where we had a beautiful view and enjoyed penguins just chilling. Mike walking towards where the penguins were…

The view was spectacular…

We walked along the boardwalk…

And found a dassie hanging out with a penguin –

This was all last evening. Today, we parked in Fish Hoek and walked to Kalk Bay for breakfast. Later in the day, I walked down to buy some shopping.

Now I’m off to make dinner.

1 Corinthians 2:5

Trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
