Stacey’s Birthday

31. That’s how old Stacey is today. So special for us to zip out to Swellendam and spend the day with her. Adrian and Stacey and little Elsie are flourishing in this town. We had tea this afternoon with some of their friends – Pastor Brian from the Interdenom church, the Steins from across the road and Margaret from next door.  Swellendam is such a hospitable place and the people are very friendly.

Elsie has gone from cute to ridiculously adorable. We are so pleased to be here and my heart is full.  #973 of my 1000 thanks is for sweet family time, celebrations and lots of cuddles and smiles from Elsie.

We left home at 7 minutes to 5. We passed 74 cars on Baden Powell Drive. We only had to stop at 2 of the 8 traffic lights through Somerset West and we passed Paul Cluver Wine Estate at the 57 minute mark. Pretty good timing. We stopped as usual at Caledon for Grande Cappuccino from Seattle Coffee Company which is at the Fresh Stop. We arrived in Swellendam just after 7-30am.

I didn’t get too much work done but did manage about 3.5 hours.

This evening we had a lovely dinner with Adrian’s Dad joining us as well.  The sun set on a lovely day.

Romans 8:6

The mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

It starts with the mind.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
