Relaxing Saturday

Saturday

Today was the day…

That was pretty relaxing.

It was also sociable. I Zoomed with my friends in the morning and in the afternoon had a Zoom chat with John and Avril and a couple of their friends. It was 7 years ago today that John had massive surgery that did not have a great prognosis. The day after the surgery I was reading some words of Jesus saying, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”  So I asked for healing for Pastor John. These 7 years have had their ups and downs but he is still alive today and spear-heading the work at Living Hope. And with the pandemic, the Lord has certainly sustained him for such a time as this.  Thousands of people are jobless and now without income and Living Hope has spearheaded a scheme that will provide vouchers to Pick n Pay or Checkers for a list of 8000 households. Living Hope is accountable and trustworthy. Money is not wasted and goes to where it needs to go.

I did a bit of work and relaxed.

Mike took his cutting list to the board shop. He’s got one quote back and is waiting for the second. He is now in the garage making a jig.

Dinner is cooked and I’m about to call him in, so we can sit down to eat.

Today’s Corona stats haven’t come out…

  • Saturday 16th – 831 new cases – 14 deaths
  • Sunday 17th – 1160 – 3 deaths
  • Monday 18th – 918  – 22 deaths
  • Tuesday 19th – 767 – 26 deaths
  • Wednesday 20th – 803 – 27 deaths
  • Thursday 21st – 1134 – 30 deaths
  • Friday 22nd – 988 – 28 deaths

But one thing I did notice from yesterday is that according to the statistics, we have more people in South Africa who have totally recovered than who have active Covid-19.  As of yesterday, 20125 people have been infected. 397 sadly have died.  10104 people have recovered. 9624 people are active.

Proverbs 15:29

He hears the prayer of the righteous.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
