Thyroid Scan

Friday

Today was the day…

I had a thyroid ultrasound. It showed up that I have a nodular thyroid with one dominant node on the right (which is the one that took me to the doctor in the first place.) A couple of hours later, my GP phoned to say I need to have a fine needle aspiration done on that node and so it’s booked for next week. This is not an unusual thing to do and Mike had one in 2018 so I’m not expecting bad results.  I should have asked if this was a possibility before I left today because it was so quiet there, they could have done it immediately. But the technician who did the ultrasound didn’t think it was of any significance. They must have reviewed it and called for a biopsy.

My work server was fully changed so I worked for a few hours but mainly had the day off.

After I got home from the ultrasound, Mike went off to buy some stuff and then went to the flat to work on the electrics. He was there for the whole afternoon.

I went to Echo to see progress.  The rental unit on the ground floor has had two coats of inside paint…

Werner has been laying tiles in the living area…

And they are looking pretty good…

Meanwhile, one floor up on the first floor which will be for Mike and I, screed is complete…

David took the opportunity to do some recording for his next fingerstyle piece…

This evening, Mike and I nipped across to the flat for him to show me the work that he and Courage did today. It’s looking so much better, but the problem is when you make 3/4 of it look new, the other quarter starts crying for attention so you end up doing more and more and more. We’ve now made a decision to sand down and bourne glean the floors. That’s deep sanitation.

Today a newspaper published this…it’s a breakdown of the Cape Town cases of positive Corona cases…

Cases over the last week for all of South Africa

  • Saturday 16th – 831 new cases – 14 deaths
  • Sunday 17th – 1160 – 3 deaths
  • Monday 18th – 918  – 22 deaths
  • Tuesday 19th – 767 – 26 deaths
  • Wednesday 20th – 803 – 27 deaths
  • Thursday 21st – 1134 – 30 deaths
  • Friday 22nd – 988 – 28 deaths

John 15:7

If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Thy will be done.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
