Portrait of a Sunday

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day winter set in and it rained and rained and rained. There was a break in the weather quite early, so we managed a walk to the shops for a few groceries. We walked along the cat walk and a passer by pointed out the rock foot below the walkway.

Quite amazing. Home for bacon and egg rolls and then it was time to rest. The rain set in again and I settled in to my rocking chair with hot chocolate & the newspaper.

Rain poured down from time to time.

The cats. Now there was a portrait of a Sunday.

They spent a lot of time in their bed in the corner of the lounge.

Claw’d caught in a yawn and quite a yawn it was!

I took a leaf out of their book and slept this afternoon. Mike made spagbol for early dinner and now we are watching rugby – South Africa’s first match of the World Cup 2023 – against Scotland.

I’m feeling well rested.

Psalm 147:5
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
