Mellow Monday

Today was surprisingly quiet as far as work went, but very productive in other areas. I managed to get done some stuff done that I’ve been intending to do for a while.

I’ve got two bank accounts and only need one, so I’ve been planning on closing one but there are some debit orders that come off it. In order to close the account, I need to change the bank details of some big companies like my cell phone provider. What’s amazing is that if you just do a search on how to change the bank details for XYZ company, the answer comes up. I called my cell phone provider and they did it in a few minutes over the phone. By May, I should be able to close the bank account and will save on those bank charges.

Then I’ve got a few family videos I have wanted to get transferred onto DVD/MP4. I went to Valyland in Fish Hoek where there is a little photo store that does such things. I handed in three videos and they will call me when they are ready. High five for that job done!

Mike spent a few hours out doing some computer work.  As he arrived home, David arrived for a visit. We had a good chat. He was away the weekend and told us all about it.

Then I went back to work. I had a ‘moment’ today. I could not find my reading glasses! You have to understand that as I walked into the bathroom to see if I possibly could have left them there, a lightbulb went on. I suddenly saw myself wandering round the house looking for my reading glasses! It seldom happens because they are usually either next to my bed or on my desk. When David had arrived, I had taken them downstairs.  I’d become one of those old people who can never find their glasses. 😀 There they are!

# 603 of my 1000 thanks – today as I drove to gym, I got the traffic lights green. Don’t you love it when that happens? I appreciated it! Thank you for getting traffic lights in my favour!

Today marks day one of a Facebook fast. At gym today it dawned on me how negative it can be. It’s a good idea to take a break. No reason not to.

Psalm 84:11

The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
