Autumn Sunday

The wind dropped today and it became a perfect autumn Sunday. We woke at about 6-30am and I made coffee. We hung around in bed, but were at church at 8am.

Breakfast followed at Chalk and Cheese where we met up with Julian. I can tell you that this Sunday morning routine, I could get used to. When we got home mid morning, Mike went off to hit golf ball and I chilled. My colleague in Abu Dhabi sent me a message about something quite urgent, so I got online and had a Skype call with her. I didn’t do too much work, but I have a number of things to deal with tomorrow morning. Julian arrived at about noon. We had lunch at 1pm (Mike’s leftover spagbol from yesterday!).

Julian and I left for the airport, going the scenic route over Chapman’s Peak Drive, through Hout Bay, cutting across Camps Bay over the saddle and to the Blue Cafe for coffee. It is such a lovely little spot, we love going there. One day, I must go with Mike. He’s never been. It’s in Tamboerskloof on Brownlow Rd.

After dropping Julian at the airport, I got home ready for a rest. After tea, I decided to go swim at the gym. Having not had a proper swim yesterday, today was the idea day to go and only swim.

I swam 50 lengths in 40 minutes. It felt good. 🙂

#602 of my 1000 thanks is for Virgin Active. It’s got me going.

Now I’ve come home and am ready for the new week ahead. I think it may be a busy one. Mike has an eye appointment and also needs to fit in some golf, so we will be out and about.

Galatians 1:15

Even before I was born, God chose me and called me by His marvellous grace.

Praise the Lord.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
