Breaking Glass in the Night

Last night at about 11-30pm, Mike and I were just dropping off to sleep when suddenly Mike heard a suspicious noise. As he got up to go have a look, our tenant Stuart, called across on the internal line saying he had just heard glass breaking. We called YMA and they came out. The guy from YMA did a thorough search of our back garden and everything was fine. It was a mystery. I sent a message to the neighbours but they were sleeping and had heard nothing.  I lay awake until just before 1am but everything was quiet.  I finally fell asleep.

This morning Mike and I left early to go and play golf. The neighbours sent us a message to say everything was okay at their house and it was a complete mystery. When we got back from golf, we took a walk around the back to see if there was anything suspicious, but there wasn’t. A couple of hours later I received this whatsapp from our neighbour…

#604 of my 1000 thanks is for mystery solved and that it was not an intruder. Stuart had said it sounded right outside his bedroom window which is just metres away from their back door. So glad the mystery is solved. I will sleep well again tonight.

The golf was great. We went to Westlake on a beautiful Cape Town autumnal day where there was a light breeze and great company in a Joburg couple named Steven and Lisa.

The fairways are looking lovely…

Although this used to be filled with water….now it’s empty…

The rain will come.

After the golf we chatted for a bit with Steven and Lisa and then went off to Mike’s eye appointment. His eye is looking great, the doctor said. His next injection is next week and then the one after that is only expected in early June. By then, God willing, I will be married to a Grandpa! 😀

Titus 3:7

Because of His grace He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

Amen!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

No gym. Did the golf but didn’t burn nearly enough calories as we had a golf buggy. Back to the gym tomorrow.
