Laundry Roof

Tuesday

Today was the day…

We swam. It looked like it would be quite a calm day, so we went down at 8am and got home at about 9:15am. It was lovely. The wind has picked up now, but tomorrow looks like it will be a good swimming day as well…

That swim was so good for my body and mind. It’s worth getting back into it for sure.

David sent us an entertaining cycling video of him going through a long tunnel where the temperature dropped from warm and humid to icy – he thought the temperature dropped about 8C. This is him going in…

And coming out of it…he was only in it for about  minute. Light at the end of the cold tunnel…

Wish I could play you the video but I don’t know how to get it off Whatsapp. Those who have my number, let me know if you want me to forward you the video. David cycled 80km today. Quite a ride!  This useful website casts a bit of light on his journey…  Davids bike trip through SK

For me I worked 6 hours. We had a guest book the Little Lookout and arrive today. The Seaview Apartment guest leave tomorrow and the next ones are in on Friday. Things are beginning to pick up.

Meanwhile, Brian painted the laundry roof and now it looks a lot better. Before…

After…

Now we need to work on cleaning the roof of the cottage, repairing and painting that. We were quoted R24000, so didn’t jump all over that offer! It’s going to be challenging getting the roof cleaned and painted. Kick it down the road!

Live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
