Best Whale Sighting Yet

Wednesday

Today was the day…

We saw an absolute enormous Mama whale and her calf swim past. Normally, these whales don’t hang about. They are on their way somewhere and the come up for air and then go down to the depths, swim about 200m and come up for air again. It’s a case of now you see them, now you don’t.

But that didn’t happen today. For us it was the best whale sighting yet. It was as if the Mama whale was showing off her new baby. Welcome to the world little one. Mike’s photos…

I trawled Facebook looking for photos but found this. Someone (illegally) flew a drone above them. This video is wow! I hope you get to see it before it gets taken down.

Mesmerizing. They were so close to the shore and the sea was so clear today, even when they were underwater, you could see their outline.

Mike and I swam this morning. The difference between today and yesterday was today I was back in my summer swimming costume. No more spring suit. I swam half an hour and got in about 2km.

I worked 6 hours.

Guests in the Seaview Apartment left and so we cleaned it for the next guests who arrive Friday morning. And we got a 34-night booking for the Little Lookout.

I also had a good update from David. I’ll put those photos up tomorrow.

It’s been a beautiful spring day with no wind and bright sunshine.  We are grateful.

Romans 1:20

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities— His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
