Great News Day

Wednesday

Today was the day…

Anne had her last chemo! She still has her slow release until Friday and then, when that comes out, she can ring the bell at the hospital! I’m so relieved and grateful. It’s been a long journey and I’ve sat in Cape Town and felt for her. I’m so glad her tumour count is normal and her scan is fine and now she can recover from the chemo and move on in getting stronger. So good. I’m so grateful to God for His answers to my prayer for Annie!

Today when I woke up I saw a sunrise of note. What happens is this incredible colour filters across the sky but it is fleeting. Look again and it’s gone. Catch it when you can!

21-4-21 – that’s the date today and one month before Elsie turns 3. So excited for her. It will be 21-5-21.

Today I worked for 8 hours. Mike and I went down to the beach a little earlier than yesterday so it was a little colder. The website Surf-forecast gave me this little nugget..

Walking home from the beach, my feet were numb. I had a jacket on but the wind was cold. I couldn’t get into a hot shower fast enough. I’m not sure we will go tomorrow – it depends on the weather. While the water was cold, it was not a bad swimming day and I still got in more than a kilometre. I can’t go by the temperature on my watch. The other day, the water was cold, but the air temperature warm. My watch said 26. Today it was closer to the water temperature mark…

It is always invigorating! I’m thinking if this is April, I’m not sure I’ll be spending 30+ minutes in the water in a month’s time! Mike and I have discussed me working from 7am to 8:30am and then taking a break and going to the beach for a swim when it’s a little warmer. That may work for tomorrow.

Almost time for dinner.

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
