Aunty Wyn Makes 95

Yay! I think this may be her last birthday, but I have to say that she looks pretty good and only the Lord knows when exactly she will head off to heaven. Here is Aunty Wyn celebrating with her family. Ever one with a sense of humour, it was a good day!

#480 of my 1000 thanks – Aunty Wyn had a good day! These pictures make me so happy!

For me, the day began by us meeting Julian and David for breakfast at Chalk and Cheese. Right after that I came home and changed for gym. Cycled for 30 minutes, on the cross trainer for 10 and then did the circuit.  I came home and had a wash before picking up Esme for Bible study.

Here comes the curve ball.

Yesterday, Mike spent a couple of hours at the driving range. He didn’t mention anything on his return, but this morning when we were out to breakfast, he complained of a huge white ball/light in front of his left eye.  He had it right after golf yesterday, but said nothing because it faded after he got home. After breakfast, he went to a nearby optometrist who referred him to an ophthalmologist. We phoned around and spoke to a number of doctor’s rooms and eventually were referred to a retinal specialist. Vision in his left eye is not sharp and he has had floaters today, although the bright light has not been there since this morning. One of the people he spoke to said it’s not uncommon to have an eye issue in golfers, whipping their heads around like that every time they hit the ball!

Monday, we go to the specialist.

He spent the day quietly and was ready for a beach walk this evening. It was absolutely STUNNING at Fish Hoek beach this evening…

Another photo of my day comes from the corner of my bedroom…Truffles latest sleeping spot…she’s there now, settling in for the  night…

Apart from reading Hebrews, this is where I’m up to in Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 36:26

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

It’s never too late for God to replace the heart of stone!

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
