A Day to Be & not to Do

Sunday

Today was the day…

I didn’t go out…at all.

It was a day to be and not to do. Although, having said that I did make lunch and did an hour of online work. But for the rest, I rested and loafed about the house in my pajamas. I had a nice long video call with Elsie and Stacey. Elsie watched me cook lunch which was fun. She’s so interested and I can do any little thing like pack the dishwasher and she is happy to watch with interest. She’s a darling.

My elbow bites continue to irritate. They vary from not being able to feel them at all to being alive. It looks like the miggie was a sewing machine muncher that bit its way across the inside of my elbow…I must taste good. These things always bite me and not Mike.

Yesterday, my swim in the sea really helped the itch but having not gone today, they have flared up.

The weather was always looking iffy for today. We slept in and I planned on an afternoon swim, but now there is a quite a strong black south-easter blowing and we’ve had some rain. When we had the vicious black south-easter when the house was being built, it blew the water tanks down the hill. It was the last day of September. I wrote about it here.  That shouldn’t happen again as the tanks are now full of water. This is the balcony view this afternoon…very gloomy…

No two days are the same.

Stacey has been sewing some leather for us. Real leather. She said it’s hard to work with, but she has an industrial sewing machine and so gave it a shot. My uber talented daughter is saving us a lot of pain. She’s got all of Granny’s skill and a whole lot more.

Time for tea, so I’m going to post this and hop into bed.

Proverbs 17:22

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
