A Darling of a Day!

4-25pm

What constitutes a “darling of a day?”  The online dictionary cites one of the definitions of ‘darling’ as “one that is greatly liked or preferred; a favorite”. That has been today.

Summer has arrived in the Mother City, blowing in from the south-east at 40km/hour in places! But just LOOK at the sunset that came with this windy day…

It was after sunrise (about 5-50am), that this photo was taken. There was quite a bit of cloud about, making it darker than usual. Haze resulted in an almost ‘sunset’ look about the rising sun! What an amazing sight!

Off to the studio – the show went off without a hitch and was full and busy with lots of listener interaction which is always the best!  Helen Keller once said: “True happiness is not attained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose”. I certainly get that from Rise and Shine!

By 10am I was driving up to Riana’s beautiful home in time for our weekly Bible study. No DVD today, but we had a lovely time of sharing…(and drinking tea and eating flapjacks!)

At just before 1pm, I headed back to Muizenberg to have lunch with Mike at Casa Labia. I love this place, even more so today because David was playing…

He’s going to be there every Friday from 1 to 2-30pm.

Lunch was lovely…

With the wind, False Bay had loads of ‘white horses’…

Yes, a darling day!

Psalm 16:5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.

There’s a truth. And that cup of mine is overflowing at the moment…

Whatever happens ‘do a Valerie-Gail’  and L4TB (Look for the Blessing). When you look for it,  you will find it!

In His grip,

Helga xx 🙂
