Windy Cape Town…

2-49pm

This is a new blog written at www.helgavan.com, so if it looks  a little different that’s the reason why. I’m still on IBlog, but the root of wherever you read my blog will be this site.

It is windy today, specially down in the deep South of Cape Town, which is where I live. The show went off well with PJ in the studio for the last time for a couple of weeks.  That warranted a goodbye photo…

After the show I had some work to do before a few folk from an organisaiton called Adventure in Missions arrived to see the radio station. One of them, Dusty, presents on radio back in North Carolina, so he was particularly interested. I’ve invited him to join me in the studio tomorrow morning. 🙂  From left to right, there’s Jen, Marian, Dusty and Malcolm…

Today I’m ‘snackish’…really feel like eating! I picked up a maki snacker (sushi) on my way home and really enjoyed that. Then I got home and had a piece of toast with peanut butter and now I’ve just eaten three ginger biscuits. I add all the calories and slap them all in myfitnesspal.com. I’m quite diligent about it. If I go over my required daily calorie count, I do some exercise to bring it down!

The day is spectacular, even if it is a bit windy. Mid-morning from the CCFm balcony…

I’ve got a bit more work to do and dinner is half cooked.

Those who follow my blog, may remember me saying I was going to try and learn Ephesians 3:16-21. Well I did. To get something ‘hardwired’ into your brain takes time, but I have done it…here we go…

Ephesians 6:16-21 NIV from memory…

And I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and I pray that you, being rooted and established in love may have power together with all the saints to know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. And now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen!

As I repeated it this morning in my quiet time, I was gob-smacked as  I contemplated the meaning of  “And now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us“… God is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within ME! That is amazing!

That’s why I’m in His grip!

Zillions of rich blessings!

Helga 🙂
