When we arrived at the hotel in Caledon yesterday, we were surprised to see this sign:
It was in the reception area, so anyone checking in or out would have their conversations recorded as would the hotel staff. I can understand why it’s there. A very short while after we arrived, there was an unexpected discrepancy. As we checked in, we said we would take gowns and towels for the hot springs. They checked them out to us, but then we figured we had all our luggage and adding those at that moment would be impractical so we said we would pick them up shortly. After we settled in our room, Mike passed the reception and asked for our gowns and towels and they said we had already taken them. They had checked them out after all. When Mike told me, I went to ask and I told them we hadn’t taken them. Without hesitation they handed a set over. If they had any doubts at that point, they could have found the conversation and heard us change our minds.
Truth is, we are always having our voices recorded. God is listening to every word we say. That’s something to be taken quite seriously.
The sign should read:
Planet earth, please be advised this is a voice recorded area. It’s not only voice, it’s thoughts too.
God sees and knows it all.
That was what I was thinking as I looked at the sign.
Today has been a good day. We had a leisurely start in Caledon, visited the Caledon museum on the way out and arrived home around lunchtime. I did a full afternoon of work and have caught up most of my email. I have a list of 7 applicants to process tomorrow, but the most important work is done.
John 1:4
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life bought light to everyone.
We all need light.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
