Tolerating vss Embracing

I’ve been thinking about tolerance and how important it is to peaceful living. I’ve heard people say, “I won’t tolerate this behaviour.” Maybe I’ve even be the one to say those words.

Right now, a tad of extra tolerance is front and centre of my experience living here on earth.

Two things I’m tolerating:

  1. Waiting for the house plans to move along.
  2. I’m tolerating complaining neighbours who are tolerating the noise of the compressor at Echo (remember one of them called the police!). The compressor noise should end in a week – YAY!

Five things I’m embracing:

  1. Having Mike home. It’s wonderful having him around.
  2. The pleasure I get out of being a Granny!
  3. My health.
  4. My job! I get a great deal of enjoyment out of my job.
  5. My braces! I know this is corny (embracing my braces), but now that I’m seeing progress I’m rejoicing that I started the process.

When I weigh it up like that – and see the five things trump the two things, it  makes me think of the old hymn ‘count your blessings, name them one by one…and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.’

Yip.

Today, I got back to gym. It felt like Monday. I had to keep reminding myself it was Friday. I worked about 7 hours and managed to get out to see my friends.  While there, I spotted just what we have been looking for to keep out the glare of the sun…

Now I will be able to find the name when I need it.

Acts 12:24

As it does today.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
