A Day at the Hot Springs

A good day. We slept late, had a leisurely breakfast and then walked into Caledon to do a couple of chores. One was to go to FNB. Here was our experience:

Arrive at FNB, be greeted at the door by an FNB teller. She asks us what we need. There is no one else in the bank except another teller. 2 tellers and Mike and I. That quiet. Once she established our needs,  she followed us to one of their self-help computers and I logged on. We found what we needed, she printed it, gave me the print out and then she (the  teller) and I high-fived.  Our visit to FNB ended with us saying ‘dankie en geniet die day!’

When was the last time you high-fived an FNB teller?

Yip me too. Never! Today was a first. Go FNB Caledon!

Then it was onto Pick n Pay Clothing. Here there was one other customer in the store. I bought four long sleeve shirts and a pair of black jeans. On getting back to the hotel, I found the black jeans I bought for me were too tight. Mike had also bought black jeans. His size 34 old black jeans fitted me. I claimed them as mine. He took my black jeans back and got a new pair for himself. I love that I can wear Mike’s jeans.

We swam in the hot springs which is always wonderful.

This evening we went to a small restaurant in Caledon called Fat Henry’s.  We always enjoy it there.  When we got back to the hotel,  the Internet was down so now I’m finishing this on my cell phone!  If it looks weird,  that’s why.

Tomorrow we head home with new enthusiasm and optimism for moving ahead with our build.  🙂

Luke 11:28

Jesus replied,  “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip.
