Monday
Today was the day…
We did not go to the beach. Perhaps we should have as, although the wind was blowing, it wasn’t raining. We think it will be raining by the time tomorrow comes.
Yay, we need the rain, but it does mean I most likely will not be swimming.
Today is also the winter solstice. It’s the shortest day of the year and we are in the longest night. The sun rose at 7:51am this morning and set at 17:44.
One of the big things that we managed today was to speak to Leanne who got our house plans through Council. Now we need to update those plans to reflect exactly how the house was built and get those approved. Leanne is going to email Mike the plans that Council have approved so Mike can start working on the changes.
Apart from that this morning, I worked through until lunchtime and then, after a quick shop, I went to Riana’s for tea. It’s her birthday! I was home not long after 4pm. I dashed through some work. For dinner we had Butter chicken from Bandari’s. David had their super hot Vindaloo! I ventured out and put a dollop on my butter chicken. Oooh, it took it to the next level!
Julian returns to Jo’burg tomorrow. We had a good evening of conversation and now it’s time for me to wrap up.
It’s great to have some cooler weather.
Proverbs 1:5
Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
