Sunday
Dear Elsie
Today was the exciting day your cousin was born! Now, on my side of the family, you have two cousins – Ella and now Elizabeth. The three Es! Elizabeth Heila was born just after midnight and weighed 3.3kg. All is well and we are grateful. Julian gets a new title of Grandfather. It’s a day to be remembered and celebrated for many years to come!
Proud Dad…
So very cute!
We went to church and then later in the morning, I walked to Fish Hoek to buy chicken. It was blowing gales. The beach was buzzing in the breeze. This time it was the Lifesaving competition.
The flag straining at the flagpole shows just how strong the wind was today and it’s expected to continue through tomorrow.
The sea was rough and conditions difficult but the competition went on. I walked home directly and chilled for the rest of the day.
It is going to be a busy week with two birthdays and 2 lots of guests leaving and others coming. Tuesday is Mike’s birthday. Guests in the cottage move out, the cottage gets rapidly cleaned and the neighbours start moving in as the owners of their home arrive on Wednesday. They move in with cats, Basil and Sybil & dog Badger. Wednesday is David’s birthday. Graham moves out of the Seaview Apartment. It gets cleaned on Thursday & new guests arrive on Friday for a week. I’m ready!
Psalm 56:3
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
