Professional Development!

Monday

Dear Elsie,

Today was the day I worked for 8 hours. The day began with Courage and Brian coming into the kitchen for some professional development. Outside the back there is a massive rock (or two) that need to be broken up. It’s been hard work thus far, so this weekend Mike looked up a You Tube video on breaking rocks. A video from Peru showed  how it was done, so Mike wanted them to see it. They were so interested.

Such a good lesson. Mike then went off to buy the required rebar for the job. Once they’ve got everything they need, they can make their attempt.

Last night Julian met Elizabeth which was a poignant moment.

She’s a little yellow today so is under the lights before going home. Such a precious poppet.

After 8 hours of work, we walked to Fish Hoek for a few things. It has been so windy.

This evening we had a lovely visit from David. Tomorrow is Mike’s birthday so we are planning to go out for breakfast.

I felt today has been a day that I trudged through mud, but I got through it. Some days will be like this. You just have to press on.  I am looking forward to some downtime.

Psalm 57:1
Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
