Fish Hoek Sandcastle Building Day

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day there was a sand-castle building competition at Fish Hoek Beach. Ah if you and I had been there together, Els, we would have had a bucket of fun. It was also wonderful speaking to you and see all you have been doing. You are so good at lego and at maths.

This was a walking along the cat walk…

The beach was busy with lots of sand creations…

An octopus…

This was a good one…castle with a moat and underground tunnel…

And a hippo…

A lot of work went into all of them. I’m not sure which one won. It was fun to walk down the beach and look at all of them.

Earlier in the morning, we had the guests who are in the cottage up for coffee. It was interesting speaking to them. They are German and have been coming to Cape Town annually for more than a decade, just to escape the warmth and enjoy the golf. We’ll stay in touch and maybe later this year, they will stay with us again.

Now we have friends coming for dinner.

Psalm 55:16
As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
