Walk and Work

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I worked and I walked, but not in equal quantities. It was a day that I should have swam, but the wind was blowing a bit and we decided not to go to the beach. I hope you don’t sense some laziness creeping in!

I worked 8 hours and at the end of it, decided a walk was in order. We walked down Echo Steps and up Sunnycove Steps, crossed Highway and up the rest of Sunnycove Steps onto the upper part of Highway. There I looked longingly at the sea – it was a ‘I should have swam’ moment.

Then we walk up to Contour to Mountain Rd.

We walked across the mountain to the other section of Mountain and carried on walking until we were on Berg Rd. We walked up Berg to Peak and all the way along Peak until it ran out. We walked the little bit of mountain to Ranger Rd. That was the turn. We walked home – it was more than an hour and we were hungry at the end of it.

The other thing I did today was ordered from ASAP! which is Pick n Pay’s new delivery App. After a few initial obstacles, I got registered and made my first purchase. There were just a few things and they arrived within an hour. The best thing of all? The delivery guy came up the 85 steps and delivered it to our front door. I will definitely do that again.

With dinner eaten & the blog almost written, we are doing something completely different tonight. We are going to a pottery class. Mike is eager to make things out of clay, so I’m tagging along. The most unartistic of the family, I will follow directions and do as I’m told.

Psalm 53:2
God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
