Venus in the Morning Sky

Sunday

Today was the day…

I saw Venus in the morning sky. I’m not really a star gazer abut this morning when I woke up and looked out our balcony doors, there was this light in the eastern sky. It shone brightly. I wondered if it was an incoming plane but then realised it was way too high. A space station perhaps? I Googled it. Earthsky.org had the answer…

My cell phone doesn’t do it justice but there she is…

Through the telescope, it’s a crescent shape. So very clear.

It was another beautiful day. Not as hot as yesterday but warm and humid. Yesterday made history for Cape Town.. It was 22-Jan-22

We got to swim early. Some of the waves were large and well formed. They flowed instead of dumping and it was a pleasure to bob up and down instead of doing any serious swimming. Lots of people in the water, which was warm. Tomorrow, we may get to swim again but after tomorrow wind is forecast for the next week. A strong south-easter will whip through Cape Town, clearing fog and blowing the rain up country. It will also temper the hot summer temperatures.

We had a relaxing day. I even slept a bit during the day. We did a bit of walking this evening and had a nice dinner out.

1 Peter 1:2

God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and His spirt has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

The best is yet to come  – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
