The Wall is Getting Bigger

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day the guests left and we prepared for more to arrive tomorrow. However, they are going into the cottage, leaving the Seaview Apartment available.

I worked for several hours. This afternoon, I went up to see how the wall is coming along. It looks like great progress is being made. This is a foundation wall that will largely be below the ground. It’s being done in sections. Courage is learning a lot about concrete.

This it looking down from the front towards the mountain.

And this is looking down from behind..

Cat news is Raiku caught another something. I am not sure what it was because, he has quickly learned that if he puts his catch down, it will suddenly disappear. His humans steal it and squirrel it away never to be seen again – well that’s what happened with the last two mice and the scorpion. He doesn’t want this happening again, so he bought something in in for show and tell but then kept it firmly in  his mouth. There was a tail. When approached, he let out the biggest growl he could make with his mouth full. He then shot out the study window and came back an hour or two later looking very satisfied and proud of himself. Claw’d meantime, is far more of a lap cat, but does initiate the wrestling matches. Raiku will often come bounding in to where Claw’d is sitting on my lap, run up and climb on his hind legs and give Claw’d a little nudge, just checking he’s okay. It’s very cute.

I’ve done some late work this evening & am now ready to call it a day.

Psalm 145:3
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
