The Sunniest of August Days

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day you and I spent quite some time hanging out on video chat. You took me to your bedroom and showed me your tent and all your ‘friends’ (toys) who were sleeping in the tent. Woofie, meanwhile, had not been listening so he was put ‘under the steps’ – yup…that’s what needs to happen to Woofie when he’s disobedient. Then you wanted to see the cats. Only Claw’d was nearby so you watched him chasing the laser light and playing with his turtle. We had good time and I am so looking forward to seeing you soon!

Afterwards, Mike & I walked to the shops and back. It was the sunniest of August days and we got home toasty.

Meanwhile this afternoon David is commentating chess. He’s good at it but it wears him out. He taught a little less this morning, so has a little more energy this afternoon. If you see this in time, you can look him up on YouTube under Bronze Serpent.

He looks so normal doing this – it’s hard to believe his health is so compromised. It won’t be forever.

Google reminded me of 3 years ago when this was our front door entrance. Our doorstep was under construction.

We sure have come a long way since then.

And things keep on developing.

The wind picked up this afternoon and now it’s turned to be blowing from the north. I think we are expecting some cooler days ahead. We are excited to be going away for a few days this week.

Psalm 145:4
One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
