Today we waited for the rain. There was an 80% of chance that a cold front would come sweeping in, dump some rain and then leave. Mike went into the garden early, clearing gutters and transferring water from the two tanks. He also watered the garden and washed the paving with the tank water.
The wind blew, the clouds gathered and the rain finally came…
It did all that was expected. Rain fell and the cold front moved on.
#634 of my 1000 thanks – that rain filled the tanks to overflowing.
By this evening, while still chilly, the clouds had lifted and there was no sign of rain.
This is what the weather looks like between now and the end of the month….
We will trust the Lord for His provision of rain for Cape Town. The drought of 2017/2018 continues. It will probably go into 2019 as well.
Right now Truffles is on my lap. Her coat is getting thicker as the cooler weather comes. She certainly lives life on her own terms. Typical cat. The other day, I got up to go make our morning coffee. Truffles was sitting at the foot of my side of the bed. All she had to do was drop to the floor and trot downstairs. She was right on the edge of the bed. As I went down the stairs, she did indeed follow me, but the most direct route she did not take. Instead, she crossed the bed diagonally, trod on Mike’s face, onto his bedside table and then onto the floor and down the stairs. Just a reminder that she exists and she knows he does too! She certainly is a cutie!
Tomorrow we go to Swellendam.
Psalm 41:3
The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
