2-41pm
I don’t think either of us realised how stressed out we were over ‘Granny’. Unbeknown to us, she has been on our mind and in our heads most of the time. The last 24 hours have given us an inkling of what life will be like when Granny is permanently at the Ladies Christian Home. Yesterday was so relaxed. David has moved out. Granny is at LCH for four nights and it was just us. There was no responsibility. It was idyllic. We went out for a Valentine’s dinner and later in the evening David came, stayed the night and is house-sitting for us this weekend.
This morning, I woke up and went to make coffee. There was no need to worry if Granny would be on the floor in the lounge…but I still boiled the kettle for her tea! LoL. Habit! Half way through it boiling, I turned it off! I made coffee and then sat in bed relaxing, not listening to Rise and Shine, but hanging out on FB and seeing the CCFm Rise and Shine page edging towards 4000 “likes”. When I turned FB off and we headed for Betty’s Bay, the page looked like this…
When I got connected via my dongle in Betty’s Bay, it looks like this…
YaY!!! Thank you to everyone who has ‘liked’ the page. I appreciate you. We are growing. TGBTG!
On the way to Betty’s Bay, we stopped for breakfast and supplies and then headed on along Clarence Drive towards Rooi Els. We stopped at Kogel Bay so Mike could “do an inspection”- part of his work – and seeing as he was in the area, he thought it would be a good idea. Kogel Bay is spectacular…
We arrived at Betty’s Bay a short while later. Mike & I LOVE coming here. The only sound is the roar of the ocean. The house is a cottage really, situated on top of a sand dune with spectacular views front and back. This is the house from the front.
I took it with my back to this splendid panoramic view…
While the view from the back is equally as spectacular…
No photo can actually do justice to the sea view that I have before me. I’m sitting at the dining room table in front of the window that looks out on the sea side. The whole ocean to the left of where Mike is standing is before me. Mike walked down to the beach for a swim. He has just returned. It is just so relaxing here. We picked up dinner for tonight, so won’t need to go out. We can just let the stress of weeks past, ooze out of us. I can feel it going already! 🙂
One of the things I picked up on FB came from Pat Evans who works at LCH. She uploaded a photo of Granny listening to music with all the other ladies…
I love that she is not alone and is being entertained. Thanks Pat.
Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the LORD:”Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.
Yep. Rest for our souls and our bodies coming up.
Have a wonderful weekend.
God bless you loads.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
