The Kitchen Grows

Tuesday

Today was the day that…

The kitchen grew. Mike and Courage left at about 9am. I dropped by late morning to find some progress made from yesterday…

When I returned later in the afternoon, they had done so well. They decided to see if the counter-top fitted now all the base cupboards are in…

Fits perfectly…

They still have some way to go – tomorrow all the top cupboards will be done. It will probably take them to the end of the week to get everything in. This is the flatlet that we can rent out.

Meanwhile, Werner and his men were on the scaffolding cladding the building with clapper board…

The window company came and put in a couple of windows that were missing. The Light Steel Frame company was in contact to say delivery of the next floor LSF should arrive on Thursday. Their final invoice is higher than expected so we need to negotiate a bit. They gave us an original quote of R161000 and we don’t want to pay any more than that. I’m sure we can come to an amicable arrangement.

Werner says three months to finish, conditional upon no further pandemic delays or inclement weather, so we should be in by my birthday, God willing! That’s 5 months. I’ll take that.

It’s been a good day. Main goal is to stay well! As far as Covid-19 goes, South Africa is currently 27th in the world which is not great.

Ephesians 4:7

To each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
