First Kitchen Arrived

Monday

Today was the day …

Our first kitchen arrived. Mike has designed it – it’s the for rental unit. He painstakingly put together the cutting list and today all the pieces arrived…there are a lot.  I was there when the truck drove up…

The components were all lugged up the 57 steps and stored in the bedroom of the rental…

They got here at about 2pm. Mike and Courage started sorting them out and by 4:30pm had assembled the first two. Hopefully tomorrow it will go faster…

It’s going to look great!

I got Medical Aid authorisation for my op God willing on 17th June. I’m moving step by step towards it. I have low expectations. I’ve got to stay well. I’ve moved the Covid test to Friday before the op so there is time to get the result.

My Gynae phoned to say his practice was closing. He’s losing money, so they’ve decided to close and wait for next year to see what happens.

I had my hair cut. My hair dresser works from home. As domestic workers were allowed to return to work today, I offered to go to my hair dresser’s house and sweep her front room. She agreed! She cut my hair. I swept it up. It’s great to not be quite so shaggy.

I worked for a few hours and had a Skype team meeting.
