Thursday
Dear Elsie
Today was the itchiest of days. The hundred tiny bites from yesterday’s swim roared into life a couple of hours after my morning swim. Today’s swim itself was great. The water was cold and very soothing. But after I got home and started working, the itchiness increased with the heat of the day. I ended up taking another (expired) pill but this time, I think it truly had expired as it had no effect at all. I’ll take the last one later and hope for the best. Yoh! I’ve never had so many bites from swimming at Fish Hoek before. I must have swum through a shoal and they got into my swimming costume and couldn’t get out. They just started stinging and they’ve certainly left their mark! At least I didn’t get more this morning! I googled them.
Pica pica = itchy-itchy for sure! They should only last 4 days. Hopefully tomorrow will start to improve.
After almost 8 hours of work, I walked to the end of Fish Hoek beach with Julian. That was a good distraction.
Such a beautiful day and it’s expected to continue tomorrow.
Psalm 31:14-15
But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
