Best Times on the Day

Friday

Dear Elsie

I have some absolute best times of the day. This is one of them..

Sunrise – I need to be up early for them, & every time I am, it is so worth it. It’s the time of the day when I do my Bible reading and that’s also a very meaningful time. Then it’s onto my word game. There’s a new word game called Blossom where you are given 7 letters and need to find the 12 longest words you can make of those 7 even if you duplicate. That goes down right after my Bible reading and I absolutely love it.

After that I either start work or we get ready for the beach. Today, as we were planning on going to the beach, it began to rain, so we decided to hold off going and I started work.

Breakfast is a favourite time of the day. Pawpaw, full cream yoghurt, a dash of cream, honey and my breakfast dessert is ready!

Today at lunchtime I took myself off to the beach on my own. It was very quiet. I left my towel next to two young guys on the cat walk. They looked well dressed but you never know. I didn’t engage with them at all. I just took my shoes off, put my sunglasses in my shoes, took off my hat, put my towel over the whole lot and went down the little step from the cat walk to the sea. And I swam. Another favourite time of the day. The water was lovely and warm. The wind had picked up and there was quite a ripple. It churned up the sand in the sea and underwater visibility wasn’t that good. I swam out to the barrel and back a few times. In the end I did about 1.5km and after 40minutes or so I headed back to the cat walk. There I found the two guys on their feet about to leave, but not comfortable to, as my towel was still there. I thanked them for watching out for my few things and off they went.

I came home and had a cold shower – as cold as cold can be through hot pipes. The cold shower relieves the itch caused by my bites. I didn’t get any more today and the ones I have are slowly subsiding.

Mid-afternoon, I nipped out to do some shopping, including fresh antihistamines. I also re-ordered

And of course, one of the best times of the day are at its end, when I climb into bed and have about an hour before I put my head on the pillow.

Best times of the day!

Best moments – I always enjoy the cat’s antics. Claw’d insists on cleaning Raiku. Claw’d: I will clean  you…..

…but inevitably it ends in a fight…

And let me not forget today is Avril’s birthday. Happy birthday Avril! 🤩

Psalm 31:22
In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from your sight!” Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
