Proverbs 25:25

Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.

Well it wasn’t a distant land, but it was like cold water to a weary soul!

The breakfast sustained me throughout the day. I at again at about 5-30pm.

I’m hearing of more and more cases of theft in our burgeoning valley, from middle of the night hold-ups to broad daylight break-ins. The increase in people to the area for the road works seems to largely be a predisposing factor.  Morgan found herself not able to face coming back to the cottage which was very sad for me and her. She really struggled within herself. Ever since the burglary, I have told her my main concern for her was that I wanted her to be safe and happy. I understood that it was unnerving having to stay in the cottage on her own again, but that if she did force herself to, she would be okay and life would return to normal. But she had another accommodation option and so to avoid the pain of readjustment, she took the second option. I’m sure we will get to see her before she leaves in a few months time.

It will be interesting to see who the next occupant is. We have been debating about renting it out for weekends, but I like the vibe and enthusiasm that young single missionaries bring. I would prefer a short to medium term missionary who can make this home for a while.

Riana came this afternoon for more training. She is stepping into my shoes while I’m on holiday. She is a fast learner and a great help, so once I’m back, she will be even more able to understand and manage the process. We will become a formidable team!

And now I am going to have a quick shower and hop into bed. So grateful for the rain and we are looking forward to a bit more tomorrow.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
