Yesterday Mike did some work in the garage. He put up a motion detection light so when we walk into the dark garage, the light comes on. He had turned part of the electricity off to install it. So he spent quite a lot of time working in the garage. Right at the end, I went down to inspect it and ask if he wanted some tea. He had just finished and said he was going to try it out. The garage door was open. He went inside the house to turn on the electricity and I went to the kitchen to put the kettle on. As soon as Mike returned to the garage I heard him speaking to someone. First I thought it was the neighbour, so I went to have a look. It was a very suspicious character. He’s been around before. One of Mike’s regulars. As Mike walked back into the garage, there he was about to enter the garage. It was so suspicious – it was as if he was standing somewhere waiting for an opportunity. Fortunately, Mike arrived before he entered. Can’t be too careful.
Isaiah 55:7
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God for He will freely pardon.
Today has been surprisingly cold. When rain is forecast for Cape Town at this time of the year, it’s unlikely to be too cold. I dressed for summer and spent most of the day – well – COLD! I took a 45 minute work break and climbed into bed to warm up. It was that cold. Tonight, I will wear winter pajamas. We will wait before changing our duvet from summer to winter. The rain was heavy drizzle but wonderful to see.
This evening Julian and I walked from Fish Hoek to Harbour Bay. The wind was really chilly. It felt decidedly like winter.
I worked about 7 hours.
And now the day is over and we are cruising towards the weekend!
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
