Sushi…

3-57pm

Just a little actually. 200 calories in 3 salmon roses, so I don’t want to go overboard! That’s for a special outing with friends. But it was a snack I really felt like, so I got a tray, had three pieces and David wolfed down the rest…actually there was a lot more than pictured below!

This morning was cold and windy. The view from the CCFm balcony hinted at the presence of a fresh south-easter…

It did not disappoint and has been breezy all day long. In fact the windy conditions are expected to continue all week.

Mike should be home soon and I want this blog posted before he comes. Chicken for dinner with mashed potato, peas and salad. Simple.

My Biblical lesson for today came out of Colossians, which I ended today. It was Colossians 3:23-24 which says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that your will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

When you meet someone, they usually ask, ‘who do you work for?’ I may say, CCFm, or you may say, ‘I’m a home executive’ or ‘I work for myself.’ All the wrong answers! If we have put our faith in Jesus Christ, then we are working for Him, regardless of what work we do. The Amplified Version says, “Whatever may be your task…” So when I am home helping Granny, I am actually working for the Lord. “Whatever” means just that – whether it is the work you are doing at the place you earn an income, or at home doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, fixing something broken, cooking dinner, helping a neighbour – “Whatever!” Work at it with all your heart. The One you are serving is not actually your boss, or yourself or your family or your church. The one you are actually serving is the Lord Christ, the Messiah. He deserves a level of work far greater than we usually give. So work at it with all your heart (from your soul). You will receive an inheritance which is your real reward!

Good to remember!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
