Saturday evening, well late afternoon really, Mike and I decided to go for a walk on beautiful Fish Hoek beach. It was idyllic…
Down the other side of the beach, looking back we marvelled at the beautiful mountain side…
If this is earth, what will heaven be like?
As we drove home, the sunset was striking…
Today was a good day. Full of business and work and contact with dozens of applicants all in shock that they leave for Abu Dhabi two weeks on Wednesday. Suddenly, it’s happening! Mike and I fitted in a walk around the block, stopping by the Sun Valley pond…looks slightly less than last time…eek.
But it’s better than it was the night before the storm…so grateful for the rain that has fallen…
And sunset from our balcony was pretty spectacular this evening…
Somewhere along the line, I think I got a few numbers mixed up with my 1000 thanks. I see, I had two 342s!
#345 of my 1000 thanks is that I can work in my pajamas. This morning I sat in bed and worked for a while – then saw my battery was dying. As I plugged it in, my colleague in Abu Dhabi Skyped and I took the call with the camera off, in my pajamas! Now that’s a treat.
The Bible is full of wisdom and it serves to keep me on the straight and narrow every day. As I read about the mistakes of others, I’m reminded that God’s way works.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
God understands us. He knows our hearts and hears our cries. He sees our tears and desires and dreams. And I don’t believe He wants us to be burdened by the cares and fears of this world. I believe He wants us to hand them over and let Him take care of them. He knows best.
I believe that Jesus came and died for my sin, and rose again so that I may live an abundant life.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
