Success!

Friday

Today was the day..

I had success. It’s been a bit of a grueling week work-wise but it has ended on a positive note with a South African teacher getting an offer for China for an August start! If you know of any South Africans in SA trying to get into China you will know that it is impossible this year, so I don’t underestimate the enormity of this achievement. My applicant has been very determined. She is currently in the Middle East and in order to go to China in time for the August start, she can’t come back to South Africa for the summer (our winter).  She is single and she has had the Chinese vaccine! This makes her an ideal candidate. Today her offer arrived and she is thrilled. Me too, but I’ll be more thrilled once she signs it and over the moon in a few months time when I hear she has arrived!

Meanwhile, back at home, the bachelor pad is slowly coming together. Next project is to finish off the bathroom basin…

Meanwhile, Courage is working on the wall outside the bachelor. One rock at at time!

It’s hard work.

Today, our tumble drier arrived and was lugged up the 83 steps. It was nearly dropped half way but fortunately Courage was at hand to jump to the rescue. He gave the Tafelberg Furnisher’s guy a break and helped carry it the rest of the way.

It’s such a perfectly still night. It’s definitely cooling as we head towards winter. Yesterday I put my electric blanket back on the bed although we didn’t have it on last night. We didn’t swim today, but I did walk to the village to buy some groceries. Tomorrow, I should be back in the water.

It’s the weekend and I am going to enjoy it!

Galatians 1:3

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
