Stress!

6-27am

This morning I woke up stressed! It’s the feeling I get when I say to those around me, “I can feel my hair going grey!” Betwixt & Between. There is so much to do. I don’t know where to start. I felt squeezed – something’s gotta go or else something’s gonna blow!    frazzled1

I went downstairs to have my quiet time. Where to start! I prayed a bit and then picked up my Bible earlier than normal and started my Bible reading.  The Word of God is rich. It has the answers for all of life’s problems. ALL!  I found the answer to my stress problem in  Psalm 81:1

“Sing for joy to God OUR STRENGTH.”

What comes first – the praise or the strength? Praise comes first. I had to get out of my stress zone and get into the praise zone. As I lifted up the Name of Jesus, the burdens tumbled down & I was strengthened. God loves us. In verse 20 of Psalm 81 “Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” What joy to know that God is God of good times AND pressure cooker times. Open wide your mouth in praise. Lift up His Name. Give thanks with a grateful heart. Honour & glorify the Lord. The joy of the Lord is your strength! That should make for a happy Friday!

STRESS

Apart from praise, it’s a list that will also order my thoughts, so that’s what I will start working on!

What to do?
Make a list
Relating to Granny:
Get photos for Granny’s powerpoint presentation to Stacey
Sort out Granny’s things
Flowers for the service
Food for the tea – sort on Tuesday morning
Service sheets
Decide what to wear for the service!

For going away:
Buy electricity – enough for 8 weeks R1500
Pay the phone bill for October & November R500 & pay rates

Renew post office box
Chemist – Buy sea-sickness tablets,  myprodol, nausea tabs, diarrhoea tabs, flue tabs & viral guard
Sort out travel clothes & sort out the house!                                       Find & buy a warm, lightweight waterproof jacket                                  Decide what luggage
Tell the bank we’ll be using our CC outside the country

CCFm related:
Download 10 radio Bible dramas
Organise enough Frank Retief short messages – seeing Beulah on the 22nd – should get the CDs for these then
Visit Joyce Meyer ministries for enough books for 2 months
Contact JR to record for Saltworks – at least 6 slots – called – no reply – left a message

That feels better…ordered thoughts. I will be coming back here to add & strike off. It’s my definitive “to do” list!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
