Thursday
Yesterday we had a number of showers but nothing like what is expected overnight tonight…
It should pour down, which will do the dams good. Today the Western Cape dam levels are a healthy 79.5% full for which we are very grateful. This rain will possibly take then over the 80% level again.
Meanwhile, we will shortly leave for the airport as Julian has just passed Kimberley.
It’s always a trick getting to the airport perfectly in time. We usually meet him at the upstairs drop off point, trying to get the timing right for his arrival. It usually takes 20 minutes for him to land, get off the plane and get upstairs to us. It usually takes up 45 – 50 minutes in traffic to get to the airport. At this time of day, banking on 50 minutes, we should leave 30 minutes before we need to be at the arrival point. He will probably be upstairs at about 5-25pm, so we need to leave at about 4-30pm, giving us some leeway – which is roughly 15 minutes from now. After the airport, we’ll head for Echo so Julian can see the progress. He is going to be surprised!
It’s been a good work day and I am up to date with what I have needed to do. Weekend is almost upon us.
1 John 3:22
We will receive from Him whatever we ask because we obey Him and do the things that please Him.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
Gym:
Swam 70 lengths. It went like this:
- 50 lengths crawl – I stopped for a rest after 14 & 30 before ending at 50 – it took 30 minutes
- 10 lengths breast stroke
- 10 lengths backstroke – this was very leisurely.
I then walked up and down for a bit and did some in water stretches before getting out at the hour mark.
