Monday
Today was the day…
that came with very strong wind – probably one of the windiest days this year. Wind guru – you just need to look at all the pink on the left – that’s today. It blew gales from sun up to sun down.
By tomorrow it will have blown itself out and the days ahead will be pretty windless, including Friday (Christmas Day) which carries with it no wind stars at all. 🙂
We began the day by walking in this crazy wind. We left a bit too early. Mike wanted fresh rolls so we headed for Pick n Pay, but got there 15 minutes before they opened, so we walked on and arrived at Shoprite. They were open, but their rolls would take another 15 minutes, so we walked on. We arrived at Spar at Valyland and they were open and had fresh rolls. With the south-easter air conditioner turned on full, we marched home, arriving some time after Courage. We had been out for an hour and 20 minutes!

Tomorrow, with the wind having dropped, they will get on the roof and the whole thing will be connected. Today Mike called Dev who sold him the system about 6 months ago and he gave Mike some details about the final steps to getting this going. Who knows! Maybe we will be running on solar for Christmas.
As far as work goes, I worked this morning and did a little this afternoon. It’s definitely getting quieter, although I have a couple of teachers interviewing tomorrow and Wednesday.
